Welcome to the 2009-2010 High School sports season. Make sure you have all your
Registrations up to date. Check your availability and make sure it is correct and record the number of games you are working this year. Remember we are professionals and need to act and show that by all of our actions, from when we get to the site until we leave.
Take care of yourself and make sure you are ready for each contest you are working. Remember to call before each contest to confirm the date and time. It is also a good idea to check in with Your partners as to the time and date of the contest. Have a great year and stay healthy.
A Note from the IHSA
The IHSA staff has informed us to remind all officials to make sure they have updated their availability and the number of games you will officiate at the beginning of each sport season. Many basketball officials did not receive post season assignments because they had zeroes in the number of games officiated. This is the info they pull up when assigning the tournament, so if you have zeroes in that area they don’t see you officiating any games.
